Transfer case, Steel, 4X4 Trucks only - Image shown may vary from actual item or color.
Slight modification needed to fit 2013 models: Two new holes must be drilled in the lateral mounting bracket. To install the transfer case skid plate you install the lateral bracket first. It bolts on in two minutes. Then you mount the transfer case skid plate itself to the vehicle frame at the front of the skid plate, using the original holes which align perfectly on the 2013 model. At this point the skid plate will be held in place as required at the front but the two pre-drilled holes at the rear end of the plate will not align with the pre-drilled holes in the lateral
bracket. It's a simple matter to use the pre-drilled holes on the
skid plate as a pilot to locate the two new holes you need to drill in
the lateral bracket. There is absolutely no need to drill holes in the vehicle. Even with the need to drill two new holes, the whole installation should be easy for anyone handy and take no longer than 30 minutes.
