Installing the Hitch Wiring Kit is not hard. The instructions do not include any narrative only pictures so it took a little while to understand what they were trying to show.
Installation of the Hitch Wiring Kit on my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup involved removal of one tail light and minor soldering of one wire on the Hitch Wiring Kit to one wire on the tail light. The other hookups involved drilling a hole into the frame of the truck for a ground wire. Plugging the wiring kit into the existing 4 pin plug and then attaching a wire from the wiring kit to the positive terminal of the battery. The instructions showed a blue wire on the Hitch Wiring Kit that runs into the truck cabin and is rolled up under the dash. The instructions do not show this wire connecting to anything. I assumed it must be for some sort of future use. What also made installtion easier is that on the 2500 4x4 the truck is so high off the ground I did not need a lift to work underneath it.
